Hiding Files in Android without any 3rd party app. [ Two Methods ]

Hey there!
Today I'm gonna discuss the easiest way to hide any kind of files in all Android mobiles.
Sometimes, we need to hide files because of many reasons ( mostly porn ). :D
We will discuss two methods and both work fluently. So, Lets go...

Requirements :

• Any Android based mobile.
• A File Manager. ( ES File Explorer, Root Explorer etc.)
• A little brain.

Method 1

1.  Open File Manager and go to your file manager settings and look for the term, Show Hidden Files/Folders. And enable/mark it as shown in the figure below. Then save your settings.

2. Now rename the existing folder you want to hide and add a dot (.) right before the file/folder name. Here, I am renaming the folder named backups. see here

3. Save it and again go to setting and unmark the "Show hidden Files".

DONE. Thats it. Your file or folder wont be shown in File manager or gallery anywhere. 


Method 2

With this method, you can prevent the files of any folder from appearing in Gallery/Video Player etc. Just Follow the below instruction:

1. Go to your File Manager and open the folder whose content you dont wanna show in gallery.
2. Now go to options and add a new file named  .nomedia as shown in the image below.

It should look like this :

Done. Now your files inside that folder wont be shown in Gallery  or video players.
